Your Egyptian Arabic School (EAS) is here…!

EAS is one of the Community Service Projects sponsored by the Egyptian Canadian Cultural Society of BC (ECCS-BC), and is Funded by donations. Classes are organised by age-groups and levels, from the age of 4 up to 16. (adult classes will start next school year)

EAS’ classes and activities are being held every Saturday 10:30 to 2:30 PM, at ” Edmonds Community School “, at 7651 18th. Ave, Burnaby, BC V3N 1J1.

Our objective is to renew our traditional model of the previous Egyptian Arabic School, that was suspended for a very long time, by developing and conducting a multi-site weekend Schooling System that serves ECCS-BC Members and Friends in various areas in BC, starting with Burnaby, as a central location, and by making it  the weekly Fun Day for every kid in school !

ECCS-BC’s vision for EAS is to develop and utilize an innovative educational system to teach the Arabic language by providing an Activity-based, Personalized, and Easily-accessible learning experience to all members and friends of ECCS-BC.

We aim to serve you with DISTINCTION through a unique top-level service with the following features:

  1. Professionally selected Activity-based curriculum, for an enjoyable and lasting learning experience,

  1. Limited number of students per teacher/instructor,

  1. Limited number of students per classroom,

  1. Innovative progressive planning, for present easy access, and future satellite and remote service.

Owl      2019 School Year:

           Program for 2019 shall be in 2 terms.

           First term starts 12 January 2019 and ends on 27th of April 2019

           Second term starts 8th of September 2019 and ends on 15th of December 2019

The school activities are being funded by member donations, and run by volunteering teachers and administrators. Suggested donations to cover the budgeted running costs for this term are as follows: First child $ 275, siblings $ 250, plus first time registration $ 25, and books $ 50. Registration is a one-time payment per child, and books may be used for more than one term.

School is funded by yours and other members’ donations. Your donation will be much appreciated and will help in providing the best service to yours and other kids in school. You may also make an e-transfer and email it to us at  school@eccsbc.com, or at the school during school hours any Saturday.

 

 

Due to our limitations of student number per class, priority shall be given to earlier registrations and to members of ECCS-BC. If not a member yet, you may kindly become a member for FREE and online.

EAS History in brief:

The Society started its Egyptian Arabic School in 1983, with the first class held on September 24, 1983, with 11 students, and was held in The Pakistan Center in Vancouver.

 

First School Committee members then were the PIONEERS: Ahmed El  Neweihi, Mahmoud Sobhi Khalil, Zakaria El Ramly, Nagat El Essily and Abdel Magid Mousa.
